Farmleigh House is a spectacular location for a prize giving ceremony. Yesterday in the snow that fell on Phoenix Park it was more magical than normal.

At the end of a enjoyable and interesting SFI Discover public engagement workshop day we were joined by three of our six winners from I’m a Scientist and I’m an Engineer. Shikha, Chloe and Ciaran received their €500 prize and mug before Ciaran spoke about his experience of the event. He told the group about the energy of the event, how the openess and frankness of the kids re-energised him and helped he get over some tricky parts of his research.
