My Work:

My job as an Engineer is to bring the Designer’s sketches and creative ideas into reality, making sure that they can be put together and work correctly.

My job allows me to work on Gaming Mice, which I really enjoy.

Every project is a new puzzle to solve 🙂
My Typical Day:

I work with people in different places. My day often starts with an online meeting with workmates in China. I do not know Chinese, but they speak very good English.

I am very good at spotting problems or things that might be difficult to do on the project. I will talk with different teams to try and fix these problems. Often we use sketches and drawings to discuss ideas and agree on the best solutions.

I also work on the 3D of the gaming mouse, and make sure that it is strong enough to last a long time. My office is nearby, and once the design is ready I can go in to look at parts that have been 3D printed to check that they work correctly.
What I'd do with the prize money:

Donate the money to a STEM Charity e.g. iwish or witsireland
